About The Course

Spardha Western Vocals Foundation will be the first phase in your child’s musical journey. Spardha aims at providing students with a better understanding of their voice with the right technique.

This course extends a holistic approach towards Music education, learning to sing effectively as well as the fundamentals of Music Theory. Our trained and friendly instructors teach with interactive activities like games and interesting exercises.

• Breath management: Diaphragmatic breathing Vs Chest breathing
• How to breathe in a song
• Where to breathe in a song
• Singing with a supported voice
• Importance of Physical warmup (body and face)
• Practising Vocal Warm Up-Lip trills and humming
• Learning spoken rhythms
• Solfa singing using sheet music
• Introduction to scales, tonic chord and Arpeggio
• Basic terms and definitions used in Western Music

Learning Outcomes You Can Expect

Students will be able to:

• Sing 10+ melodies across various genres
• Perform with proper posture and consistent breath flow
• Identify durations of notes, which in turn will help them enhance their sense of Pulse
• Perform physical and vocal exercises that are essential for healthy singing
• Maintain uniform breath flow on sustained notes
• Perform solfa exercises
• Understand basic music terms
• Perform rhythm exercises with accuracy
