About The Course
Is your child interested in building a career as a classical vocalist? Indian classical method book 3 is the next curriculum for Indian classical singing. This course provides detailed study and preparation of more Ragas and
Taals along with some new theory topics to the students.
This course helps the students have command over 'Drut Khayal' singing in ragas like Durga, Asavari, Bageshree and Bhairavi with alaap and taan creation.
Prerequisites
- Must have done Hindustani Classical Vocals Method Book 2
Topics Covered
- Definition of Musical terms
- Introduction of Bhatkhande notation system and practice to write notation of composition in some ragas.
- Practice of alankars in different Thaats.
- Taal Parichay (Layakari practice of different taals)
- Raag Durga
- Raag Asavari
- Raag Bageshree
- Raag Bhairavi
- Sargemageet/swaramalika in some ragas.
- Introduction to Pandit Jasraj and his contributions in the field of music
Learning Outcomes You Can Expect
- Learn new terms of classical music.
- Read and write the notations of compositions in different ragas.
- Practice Alankars in a particular raga.
- Know laykaris in different taals.
- Learn 1 madhyalay composition/ drut khayal with alaaps and taans along with one song/bhajan based on these ragas- Durga, Asavari, Bageshree and Bhairavi.
- Read notations and understand the ups and downs of notes perfectly with the help of Sargam geet/swaramalika.
- Come to know about Pandit Jasraj and his contributions in Indian classical music.
