About The Course
Is your child interested in advanced qualifications in Bharathanatyam? Then this is the next step in their journey! This course is for students who have been dancing for 4 years and have completed the Intermediate Grade. During this course, the students learn good foundational form, keertahana, bhajana and dashavataram hastas. The students also prepares for the arangetram or full length stage debut.
Prerequisites
- 4 years of dancing and completion of High intermediate course
- Dance theory
- Good foundational form
- Sense of rhythm and subdivision

- Teermanam adavus
- Viniyoga Hastas - Alapadma To Trishula
- Dashavataram Hastas
- Learning a Keerthanam, Kriti and Bhajan

Learning Outcomes You Can Expect
- demonstrate correct adavu techniques
- recite the shlokas and demonstrate the theory of this grade
- dance to set music - Keerthanam on Devi in Tamil, Annamacharya Kriti on Lord Vishnu inTelugu and Bhajan on Lord Rama in Hindi
- emote the abhinaya of the selected items
- Students will be prepared to clear grade 3 of ISTD
